Marketing Intern

Varsity Education is a not-for-profit organisation offering pre-university courses to 15-18 year olds. We are looking for a confident, motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing Intern.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and to add a professional reference on your Curriculum Vitae.

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for gathering, curating and preparing marketing materials during our academic winter programme held at Clare College, Cambridge, from December 10th – 22nd. You will need excellent copywriting skills, an eye for a great photo, and to be confident and sociable when dealing with young people and other members of staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Photo documentation of the programme
  • Writing of our student journal, which goes out to all the parents daily
  • Providing social media creative to the marketing team
  • General administrative tasks
  • Planning your own schedule in coordination with programme staff

Essential Skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to travel
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Good photography skills (equipment will be provided)
  • Proven organisation skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills:

  • Good understanding of UK higher education system


This position will be a short-term contract and will take place throughout the duration of the programme, December 10th to 22nd, with the possibility of 1-2 days of preparation and training ahead of time. Candidates must be available each day of the programme between 9am and 9pm, and will be working for approximately 3-5 hours a day, though this will be subject to variation.


The Marketing Intern role will be based in Clare College, Cambridge. During the programme, the Intern will be required to accompany students to other locations around Cambridge. To be considered for this role, candidates should be resident in Cambridge or its immediate vicinity throughout the programme.


The Marketing Intern will receive £200 upon completion of the programme.
